A green and black kanji of holly with the element tree picked out in holly leaves and the element winter in black outlines

About Holly's Legends

This is a micro-hypertext with sixteen nodes, based on a kanji-ku (a haiku placed on an ideogram or kanji). Simply "slide" your mouse on the kanji for holly (hiiragi), and watch the words change and coalesce. You can also click on any underlined word to begin. You can make your own kanji-kus, of course, as this now runs on css and an image map. Feel free to download, replace text, and join in the fun!
